These terms apply to the Kodama desktop app, its store, and the services around it (this website, update delivery, anonymous statistics, store ratings and bug reports). By using Kodama you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use Kodama.
Kodama is a free, independent, open source client for YouTube Music. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by YouTube, Google or Discord. All trademarks belong to their owners.
The source code of Kodama is licensed under the GNU Affero General Public License v3.0. Your rights to use, study, change and share the code come from that license; nothing in these terms limits them. Items in the store carry their own license, shown with each item.
Kodama signs in to YouTube Music with your own Google account and acts on your behalf. You remain bound by the YouTube Terms of Service and Google's policies, and you are responsible for how you use your account through Kodama. This includes downloading or exporting music: only do so where you are allowed to.
Please do not use Kodama or its services to:
Items in the store are reviewed before they are published, and extensions run with the permissions listed on their page. Extensions may connect to third-party services, which have their own terms. Review is a best effort, not a guarantee. Items can be updated or removed from the store at any time.
Kodama is provided free of charge and as is, without warranty of any kind. It depends on services that can change or stop working without notice, most of all YouTube Music. Features may break, be changed or be removed, and the app is in active development.
To the extent permitted by law, the Kodama project is not liable for any damages arising from the use of, or inability to use, Kodama or its services. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law, such as liability for intent or gross negligence.
How Kodama handles data is described in the Privacy Policy.
These terms may be updated. The new version is published on this page with a new date, and continuing to use Kodama after that means you accept it.
